Term Meaning Reach A performance that makes you think “It’s about to hit!” It often misses. Yu Time A mechanism that gives you a time-saving bailout after getting stuck for a long time. Each Machine Counting Machine A machine that counts balls automatically without putting them in a box.

Pachinko Glossary (for beginners)

Term Meaning/Explanation
Start chucker: The place where the lottery begins on the LCD when the ball goes in. The part called the “navel” located slightly below the center.
Big win (win): The state in which you win the lottery and receive a lot of balls. The performance becomes flashy.
Kakkan (probability fluctuation): The state in which the next win is more likely to occur after a big win. A chance for consecutive wins.
Time-saving (time-saving mode): Time-saving mode. The number of lotteries increases, allowing you to aim for the next win, but sometimes the probability remains the same as normal.
Continuous wins: A series of consecutive big wins. A happy state.

Upper/Lower Plate The upper plate is the space for shooting the balls, and the lower plate is the space where the paid-out balls are stored.
Dollar Box A box for putting out balls. If too many are put out, they are piled up (however, individual machine counters have become mainstream recently).
Individual Machine Counter A machine that automatically counts the number of balls put out for each machine. You can exchange the receipt for prizes.
Special Prizes Prizes that can be redeemed for cash and are given at the prize counter. They can be exchanged for cash at the prize exchange office.
Cash Exchange (Prize Exchange): A cash exchange station located outside a pachinko parlor. If you hand over prizes (especially special prizes), they will exchange them for cash.
Nail: A part that determines the movement of the ball and how easily it goes in. It is hammered into the face of the wheel.
Number of Spins: The number of balls that go into the start chucker. The higher the “spin rate” per minute, the easier it is to play.
4 yen/1 yen pachinko: The amount per ball. 4 yen is usually a low loan, while 1 yen is a low loan (for beginners or people who want to play casually).
